＊Bridges Bridges can extend roads across uncultivated grasslands, even over castles and monasteries, as long as both bridge piers stand on the grasslands.
*When you complete a small castle (composed of two pieces of territory) in the mountain city, you can transform it into a mountain city, give up the original score, and wait for the surrounding buildings to be completed to share the score!
* Whether the market is held in the castle or on the grassland, it is always very lively. Players are all absent, trying their best in bidding, trying to get the territory they like but not wanting to pay!
The eighth expansion for Carcassonne , Brücken, Burgen und Basare (English: Bridges, Castles & Bazaars) allows players three new options while playing:
Bridges may be used to continue a road over a field tile, thereby allowing an incomplete road to technically run into a field segment. They are otherwise treated and scored just like roads.
Castle tokens are placed atop 2-segment cities and allow players a chance to cash-in on the next completed adjacent feature.
Bazaars are a new type of tile that allows players to auction off tiles in exchange for points.
